Growing Up In Garden Grove & Huntington Beach
An Orange County native, Robert grew up in Garden Grove, CA and spent his youth frequenting nearby Huntington Beach for its exceptional surf. As a high school student, Robert excelled at math and science and discovered his passion for competitive sports as he became one of the top cross country and track runners in Orange County.
Robert then continued his study of chemistry and biological science at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA where he transitioned to rowing for OCC’s highly-decorated men’s crew team. Despite starting as a true novice with no prior experience, Robert quickly rose to become one of the team’s best athletes, eventually earning the coveted Oarsman of the Year award in his very first season.
Law School At Chapman University, Orange, CA
After completing his Biological Science degree at USC, Robert returned to Orange County where he attended law school at Chapman University in Orange, CA. As a law student, Robert immediately demonstrated a rare talent for trial advocacy, earning numerous awards while competing on Chapman’s Mock Trial Honor Board.
Robert was also one of just four law students selected to clerk for the Orange County District Attorney’s Homicide Division in Santa Ana, CA. It was there that Robert was able to observe and assist some of the best criminal prosecutors in the country as they tried numerous high-profile murder cases. Robert relished this opportunity and incorporated many of these trial techniques into his current practice.

Utilizing the skills and experience he has honed over many years, Robert has become one of the industry’s leading employee advocates and has successfully recovered millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for wrongfully terminated employees. Robert’s early success is virtually unprecedented, as he has become one of the youngest trial attorneys to ever obtain a seven and eight-figure employment verdict while acting as lead trial counsel.
Today, Robert is the founding principal of Odell Law, PLC, which primarily serves minority and low income individuals residing in Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside and beyond in cases involving unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. Odell Law, PLC currently has offices located in Irvine and Beverly Hills, CA.
